What is a fine line tattoo? Fine line is a tattoo technique that uses very fine needles to create delicate, minimalist and highly precise designs. It's ideal for those looking for elegant, subtle and detailed tattoos. At Sinkply we are the first studio in Switzerland specialising exclusively in this technique.

How much does a fine line tattoo cost in Zürich? Our fine line tattoos start from CHF 150 for mini tattoos. The final price depends on the size, complexity of the design and body placement. Feel free to message us on Instagram with your idea and we'll give you a price straight away, no commitment needed.

Where is Sinkply Tattoo in Zürich? We are based in Zürich. You can book your appointment online from anywhere.

How do I book my appointment? Message us on Instagram with your tattoo idea, the body placement and the approximate size in centimetres. We'll find an available slot for you. To confirm the appointment we require a CHF 50 deposit, which is deducted from the final price on the day of your tattoo.

Do I need to come to the studio to book or show my ideas? No, that's not necessary. We handle everything through Instagram. Only for very complex designs might we ask you to come in for a prior consultation.

Can I see my design before the appointment? Yes. We send your personalised design the day before your appointment. Throughout the process we'll be in touch with you to adjust every detail until you love the design.

Does a fine line tattoo hurt? Fine line hurts less than other styles because it uses finer needles and the process is quicker. The sensation varies depending on the body placement — bonier areas such as ribs or feet are more sensitive. Come rested and having eaten well so the experience is as comfortable as possible.

How long does a fine line tattoo take to heal? Surface healing takes between 2 and 3 weeks. Full skin healing can take up to 3 months. During that time it is normal for the tattoo to lose some intensity — this is part of the natural healing process of fine line.

Do fine line tattoos need a touch-up? It is common for fine line tattoos, especially in delicate areas, to need a small touch-up after healing. Touch-ups for mini tattoos are free within the first year, except in delicate areas such as hands, feet and behind the ear where there is a cost from CHF 20 — or it is free if you take the opportunity to get a new tattoo at the same time.

What should I do if my tattoo has healed lighter than expected? This is relatively common with fine line, especially in certain body areas. Message us with a photo and we'll take a look. In most cases it can be fixed with a touch-up. Don't worry before getting in touch with us first.

Can I change my appointment date? Yes, as long as you let us know at least 48 hours in advance. The deposit is kept for the new date without any issue.

Do you tattoo delicate areas such as hands, feet or behind the ear? Yes, although these areas have special healing characteristics. We'll fill you in on everything before the appointment so you can make the best decision.

Do you tattoo minors? No. We only tattoo people aged 18 and over, with no exceptions.

Do you remove tattoos? Yes. We work with a company specialising in laser tattoo removal using the latest technology. We organise everything from the studio — you just need to contact us and we'll handle your removal appointment directly at Sinkply.

What should I do before my appointment? Come rested, having eaten well and avoid alcohol for 24 hours beforehand. Shave the area to be tattooed if you can. That's all — we'll take care of the rest.
